March 1, 2026 - The Cebu IT-BPM Organization (CIB.O) officially opened Season 3 of its much-awaited ITBPM Industry Volleyball League at the Magnum Sports Center, Apas, Cebu City, drawing an electrifying crowd in attendance and reaffirming the industry’s strong culture of collaboration beyond the workplace. Now considered one of the largest corporate sports events in the region’s knowledge-services sector, the league this season features an impressive 35 teams composed of professionals from leading ITBPM firms across Cebu.
The opening ceremony was marked by a vibrant assembly of teams at Magnum Sports Center, ceremonial first serves from industry leaders, and a powerful show of solidarity as companies demonstrated that competition on the court mirrors the excellence and discipline they uphold in business operations. The surge in team participation signals the sustained growth of Cebu’s ITBPM ecosystem, while the overwhelming turnout underscores the deep sense of community among employees, families, and industry partners.
With hundreds of spectators filling the venue, the event highlighted how the industry continues to cultivate a vibrant workplace culture that balances high-performance delivery with teamwork and well-being. Season 3 promises weeks of competitive matches, strengthened partnerships, and shared victories, further solidifying CIB.O’s commitment to fostering unity, resilience, and a strong collective identity among Cebu’s ITBPM companies.
In his opening remarks, CIB.O President Aseem Roy emphasized that the volleyball league is more than a sporting event—it is a strategic platform for employee engagement, wellness advocacy, and inter-company camaraderie within Cebu’s dynamic ITBPM landscape.
Aseem stated, “Today, we are not just opening another season—we are celebrating what makes our industry strong: teamwork, resilience, camaraderie, and healthy competition. With 35 teams from 24 Cebu IT-BPM companies, this league is a true reflection of the unity and energy that power our community. Over the coming weeks, you will see passion on the court, pride in every jersey, and sportsmanship in every match. Win or lose, this league is about building connections beyond the workplace, promoting wellness, and showing that collaboration doesn’t stop at the office door. To our athletes—play hard, play fair, and play safe. To our supporters—bring the noise, bring the energy, and help us pack the stands. And to our organizing team and sponsors—thank you for making this season possible.”
Aseem made the ceremonial toss and declared the event open. “With that, I am proud to declare the CIB.O Volleyball League 2026 officially open. Let the games begin—and may the best team win!”
