Congratulations to our CIB.O member - University of San Carlos (USC) for reaping the CHED R7 Awards!
May 24, 2021 - USC was given five awards by the Commission on Higher Education (CHED) during the celebration of the First National Higher Education Day and the 27th Founding Anniversary of the Commission held from May 17 to 24, 2021.
USC was cited for Exemplary Leadership, Institutional Performance in the QS Asia University Rankings, Program Excellence for its Centers of Excellence (COEs) and Centers of Development (COD), and for Institutional Excellence as an Autonomous Higher Educational Institution (HEI). The Commission also cited USC as a partner for quality assurance in higher education.
University President Fr. Narciso A. Cellan Jr., SVD, D.Comm. received the awards during the blended (face-to-face and virtual) awarding ceremony held on May 22, 2021. Actual attendance for local HEI heads at the Activity Center of the Cebu Normal University was limited to 50 persons. Heads of HEIs from elsewhere in the region attended via video conferencing.

September 10, 2021 The CIB.O Board of Trustees is pleased to announce the Unanimous Election of MR. ASEEM ROY as Vice President of the Cebu IT-BPM Organization (CIB.O). Congratulations!
ASEEM ROY’S PROFILE:
Aseem Roy counts ten years of work experience in the APJ region in his 20+ years stint with Wipro Ltd. He has managed different portfolios of service delivery, transition, process excellence, green field setup, and now leads the geo delivery for Wipro Ltd in ASEAN.
He is a Six Sigma professional, a commerce graduate with MBA in information systems, and is avidly involved in driving Wipro’s digital offerings and business strategy at the regional level. He has been the fundamental driving force in making Wipro amongst the major India-headquartered company in the Philippines and the largest private employer in Cebu City.
He has a rich and diversified experience managing businesses in three international locations that cover multiple customers and people in complex technology landscapes.
On top of being Vice President of Cebu’s most prominent IT/BPM industry association, he also handles the International Relations portfolio for Cebu IT BPM Organization (CIB.O).

Meeting with USC President, USPF Dean and JPMC
CIB.O had a special meeting presentation on the "Innovation and Ecosystem Development: The way forward for IT BPM" with USC President Fr. Narciso Cellan, Jr. SVD, together with USPF Dean Dr. Venus Empuerto, and JPMC VP Business Management and Site Manager Mr. Darwin John “DJ” Moises last March 25, 2021. This is part of CIB.O's continued effort and initiative to re-ignite partnerships in the IT BPM Industry Ecosystem.
CIB.O Board of Trustees was represented by Chairman Francis Monera, President Pert Cabataña, and Treasurer Melanie De Ocampo.

CIB.O congratulates four of its members - Concentrix, Lexmark, Wipro and Cognizant for winning 7 out of 9 Awards in the 2020 International ICT Awards given last August 8, 2020 as announced online over ANC Live and FB livestream.
